TheKe Leuven University is welcoming applications for PhD Scholarship 2019 to study inBelgium The PhD- fellow will work in the research study context of the research study group ARP (ArchitecturalCultures of the Recent Past) at KU Leuven’s Department of Architecture and the Centre for Metaphysics and the Philosophy of Culture at KU Leuven’s Institute of Philosophy.
The fellowship for which financing is readily available goals to establish an analysis of how the post-war world engaged with the concept of area. The PhD- fellow will concentrate on the function of émigré intellectuals and designers importing concepts into the post-war American academic context.

- EntranceRequirements: We are searching for a prospect with the following credentials:
- The inspiration to pursue imaginative work in the history of spatial aesthetic appeals and architectural theory.
- An specific interest in establishing the following research study concern: how and why was the idea of area set in movement, formed and customized in the duration 1945-1980, the complicated ‘interregnum’ in between modernism and postmodernism?
- A Master (or comparable) in Architecture, Philosophy, Art History, Intellectual History or Cultural History and scholastic difference. Experience with archival research study is a plus.
