TheEstonian Academy of Music and Theatre is providing scholarships for foreign students. Scholarships are readily available to students at Bachelor’s Degree and MA level for the scholastic year 2017-2018

The objective of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre is to add to the advancement of a human-centred Estonian society, the spread of an innovative state of mind and the conservation of the Estonian language and culture through education in the fields of music and theatre and the promo of innovative and research study work.

TheEstonian Academy of Music and Theatre started as a blended choir of the Estonia Society Musical Department on the eve of World War I. The assembly of the Estonia Society developed the Tallinn Higher Music School on November 17, 1918.

CourseLevel: Scholarships are readily available for students at Bachelor’s Degree and MA levels.

StudySubject: Scholarships are granted in the field of Music and Theatre.

ScholarshipAward: Scholarships will cover the following:

  • EAMT scholarships for non-EU students at Bachelor’s Degree and MA levels covering 50% of the tuition cost
  • DoRa Plus program scholarships for all foreign students at MA level granted for one scholastic year (350 EUR each month paid from September to June)

Eligibility:

EligibilityRequirements for the EAMT scholarships:

Bachelor’s Degree and MA students, who are non-EU people

  • Students who were confessed for the scholastic year 2017-2018: entryway evaluation outcome at least 9 at Bachelor’s Degree level or at least 4 at MA level
  • Students who were confessed previously: the last evaluation lead to the primary research study at least “very good”

EligibilityRequirements for the DoRa Plus scholarships:

  • MA 1st year students, who:
  • Are not Estonian people
  • Who do not live in the Republic of Estonia on the basis of long-lasting house license
  • During the last 3 years, have actually not lived in Estonia for an overall duration going beyond one year
  • Are full-time students
  • Had the entryway evaluation outcome at least 4

MA 2nd year students, who:

  • Are not Estonian people
  • Who do not live in the Republic of Estonia on the basis of long-lasting house license
  • During the last 3 years, have actually not lived in Estonia for an overall duration going beyond one year
  • Are full-time students
  • Have finished the 1st year coursework in program topics worth at least 54 ECTS credits and with evaluation lead to the primary research study at least “very good”, in case of cultural management with the typical grade at least 3,2

Nationality: Foreign students are qualified to use.

AuditionRequirements

  • Performers: live efficiency of at least 2 pieces with overall period of 15 minutes (the evaluating panel deserves to disrupt the efficiency at its own discretion)
  • Other majors: creative portfolio, consisting of the list of creative activities within last 2 years, ratings, recordings and so on
  • Cultural management: composed summary and advancement strategy of the master’s thesis, max 2 pages (font style: Times New Roman 12; area: 1.5)

How to Apply: Applications of entertainers + portfolios of the students of other majors and cultural management need to be sent out to the organizer of the DoRa program Kai Kiiv (kai-at- ema.edu.ee) by October 6, 2017.
