The goal of the award is to engage with students of architecture about the best ways to utilize sunshine and daytime as primary sources of energy and light and the best ways to make sure health and wellness of individuals who live and work in structures.
TheInternational VELUX Award challenges students of architecture to check out the style of sunshine and daytime. The award is biennial and was very first provided in 2004.

Eligibility:
- The award is open to any signed up trainee of architecture– private or group– all over the world. We motivate multi-disciplinary groups consisting of e.g. engineering, style and landscaping. Every trainee or trainee group should be backed and approved submission by an instructor from a school of architecture.
- The award invites tasks from people or groups of students, who are students throughout the research study year 2017/18
- There is no limitation to the number of entries from each school, however getting involved schools must make sure the quality of sent research study tasks, e.g. by making a prejudgment. VELUX workers can not get involved.
