RTG PhD Fellowships for International Students at Heidelberg University in Germany, 2017

(b)Research Training Group at Heidelberg University is pleased to announce 4 PhD Fellowships available for a period of 3 years beginning: 1st October 2017. International students are entitled to use for that scholarship application.

The brand new place  Research Training Group (RTG) has been installed at Heidelberg University. The goal of this RTG is to investigate the molecular mechanisms mediating the impacts of the complementary medicine.

The Graduate Academy supports and boosts Heidelberg University, doctoral applicants. It has been created in 2006 subsequent to the University Senate resolution in 2005 to contain this kind of facility in its own guidelines for that the promotion of young investigators.

Study Subject:-LRB-****) Fellowships are awarded within the topic area “Elucidation of molecular mechanisms as a foundation for an evidence-based complementary and integrative medicine”.

Scholarship Award:-LRB-****) The RTG provides talented and ambitious candidates with an excellent and stimulating research atmosphere. The individual research projects are thematically closely related with partial methodological overlap to allow for intensive and inspiring scientific exchange. The Ph. D. candidates are going to have access to state-of-the-art research technologies in modern cell and molecular biology (gene expression profiling, bioinformatics, flow cytometry, cell imaging, optical tissue clearing, animal models). The doctoral education further contains a well-structured training regime and intensive supervision. The RTG is closely collaborating with the Graduate Academy and other global graduate programs at the University of Heidelberg. Furthermore, the RTG will be associated to national joint research projects in the area, for example, the newly founded Academic Center for Complementary and Integrative Medicine (AZKIM).

The successful candidate must hold a university degree (master or equivalent above average) that gives access to undertake doctoral studies. Further prerequisites are profound biomedical knowledge and in-depth education in cell and molecular biology and/or immunology. Moreover, very good English skills (spoken and written) are taken for granted. In addition, to conduct a superior doctorate successfully, It’s Vital to bring in a high degree of motivation in Addition to passion for science and for developing independent scientific ideas
