The Neelan Tiruchelvam Trust is inviting candidates for Women’s Fellowship programme to develop a cadre of women leaders. The trust awarded optimum ten fellowships to Sri Lankan women.
The goal of the scholarship is to offer options for women to become successful leaders in mobilising, organising, educating, awareness-raising and advocacy on community empowerment, gender justice, peace building and human rights.
The Neelan Tiruchelvam Trust (NTT) is a Sri Lankan philanthropic organization that supports social justice, peace and reconciliation. It was proven in 2001 in memory of Dr. Neelan Tiruchelvam, who earnestly worked to develop peace through nonviolent means.
Course Level: These fellowships are accessible for females operating in the neighborhood level.
Study Subject: These fellowships are awarded in the fields of techniques and methodologies.
Scholarship Award: These fellowships will cover the subsequent:
- The intervals between each stage of instruction allows individuals to return to their own workplaces or communities and start integrating the the training in their work.
Numbers of Scholarships: A maximum amount of ten fellowships will soon be awarded.
Scholarship may be taken in Sri Lanka
Eligibility: Applicants should satisfy the following location for the scholarship:
- Be between the ages of 18 and 35.
- Have powerful curiosity, enthusiasm and earnestly engaged in marketing human rights or/and gender justice.
- Be a member of a neighborhood-centered business or should have expertise operating at community-level for at least three years.
- Be dedicated to the targets, expectations and time lines established by the programme through the 18 month period or/and invest in engaging in each of the 3 phases of the programme (7–14 business days times each), and be prepared to actively accomplish programme goals through the 18 month length of the programme.
- Have time and willingness to travel within and from the country.
- Be prepared to discuss the information obtained throughout the programme with other personnel inside the business/members of the neighborhood.
- Applicants who’ve perhaps not been part of prior systematic trainings and capacity building initiatives are very encouraged to use.
Nationality: Sri Lankan candidates can apply for all these fellowships.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applicants should have prior yr degree.
English Language Requirement: All three phases of the programme will probably be conducted in Tamil language.
