History Bursaries are open for Irish pupils financed by Universities Ireland. These bursaries are supplied for pursuing postgraduate study in the area of history along with other relevant areas as literature, politics, economics, sociology and religion.
This scheme is targeted mainly at students of history, even though it’s also open to pupils from other relevant areas like literature, politics, economics, sociology and religion to use.
Universities Ireland encourages collaboration between universities in Northern Ireland and also the Republic of Ireland. Universities Ireland (UI) boost and develop co-operation between their institutions.
Course Level: These bursaries are offered to pursue postgraduate programme.
Study Subject: These bursaries are given in the topic of History, literature, politics, economics, sociology.
Scholarship Award: There are four bursaries of €6,500 and they should be taken up for the academic year 2017-2018. While it isn’t required the study is finished in 2017, there will soon be no additional award for study in subsequent years.

Scholarship might be taken in Irish or British university.
Eligibility: Applicants must satisfy the next place for these bursaries:
- These bursaries are open to all students currently enrolled at (or that have graduated within the last five years from) a university or alternative higher education association and who have already been accepted (or are assured that they are going to be accepted) onto a post graduate class at a Irish or British university on an issue related to the 1912-1923 span in Ireland. This bursary scheme is open simply to students starting a PhD by research/Masters, not those who’ve already embarked on one.
Nationality: Irish applicants can implement for these bursaries.
