Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships in UK, 2017-2018 Scholarship Positions 2017 2018

Cardiff University is offering Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships worth over £2M, offer funding awards to international students for the year 2017. Scholarships are available to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate taught levels of study.

The overreaching aim of establishing the Cardiff University was to transform the public higher education to improve quality and efficiency of teaching and learning, creating a world-class higher learning institution.

Cardiff is established as one of Britain’s leading universities. Its ambition is to be among the top 100 universities in the world and top 20 in the UK.

In the case of applicants whose first language isn’t English, competence in the English language is also a criterion of admission.

Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate taught levels of study.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the wide range of subjects offered by the university.

Scholarship Award: The Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship is a £2,000 award applied to the initial year of study only. This will probably be awarded in the form of a tuition fee discount only and can’t be used in place of any required deposit. No cash alternative is available.

Eligibility: The following criteria should be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:

  • Undergraduate applicants – Conditional offer holders
    You must meet or exceed the requirements as stated exactly in your formal UCAS offer. You must confirm Cardiff University as your Firm choice by your UCAS deadline, and meet all of the terms of your offer by 31 August 2017. Applicants who don’t meet the requirements of the formal UCAS offer WOn’t be eligible for the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship, even if you’re accepted into the University.
  • Undergraduate applicants – Unconditional offer holders
    If you’re holding an unconditional offer you have to confirm Cardiff University as your Firm choice by your UCAS deadline as well as your academic results must meet, or exceed, the University’s standard entry requirement for your own programme. This could be found online.
  • Postgraduate applicants – Conditional offer holders
    You must meet, or exceed, the University’s standard requirement set for your own programme. Our standard course requirements are available online. You must accept your offer and meet all of the offer conditions, including any deposit deadline stated in your offer letter, by 31 August 2017. Applicants who don’t meet the stated requirements WOn’t be eligible for the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship, even if you’re accepted in the University.
  • Postgraduate applicants – Unconditional offer holders
    If you’re holding an unconditional offer, your academic results must meet, or exceed, the University’s standard entry requirement for your own programme. Our standard course requirements are available online. You must pay any deposit by the deadline in your offer letter and accept your offer by 31 August 2017.
  • The Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship is available to eligible students studying on selected Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught degree programmes. A full list of programmes that are eligible is available online. Programmes not shown in this list aren’t included in the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship scheme. Post Graduate Certificate/Diploma awards aren’t included in the scheme.
  • No separate application for the scholarship is required. If you’re holding an offer for an eligible programme and meet the criteria, you may automatically be awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship.

Nationality: International students are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirements: International applicants holding offers for selected undergraduate and postgraduate programmes will automatically be eligible for the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship.

English Language Requirements: The majority courses request an IELTS score of 6.5 or 7.0.
