CSIR-NEIST Golden Jubilee Scholarship for Undergraduate Students in India, 2017

TheCouncil of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) & North East Institute of Science and Technology (NEIST) are pleased to provide its Golden JubileeScholarship The scholarship is offered to pursue Bachelor Degree program.

The objective of the scholarship is to support students who wish to take science as their profession and throughout the course, chance will be offered for a training/ Project work in any CSIR Laboratory of India for an optimal duration of 6 months.

NorthEast Institute of Science and Technology (NEIST), Jorhat (previously Regional Research Laboratory) is a constituent facility of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), a premier R&D organisation of India, which has a chain of labs throughout the nation.

CourseLevel: Scholarship is offered to pursue Bachelor Degree program (B.Sc, B.ScHons).

StudySubject: Scholarship is granted in the field of natural/ fundamental sciences.

ScholarshipAward: Scholarship will cover the following:

  • The worth of the scholarship will be 1000/- monthly.
  • In addition, a stipend of 1500 p.m. will be offered for an optimal duration of 6 months training/ task work throughout the whole course.

Eligibility: The following requirements should be satisfied in order for candidates to be qualified for the scholarship:

  • Thescholarship is solely suggested for students from North East India.
  • The students should have gotten minimum 70% marks (or 7 in 10 scales) at 10 +2 assessment and passed in the year 2017 just.
  • Student needs to be confessed to a fundamental science course at degree level.
  • Only the scholarship holder will be qualified for getting the training stipend.
  • Economically weak students will be offered choice.

Nationality: Applicants from North East India are qualified to use for the scholarship.

How to Apply: Applicants can use through post:

  • Application totally filled in the recommended format and needed files connected must be sent by the end of August every year.
