This 2 year program will be of interest to practicing therapists who want to extend their existing credentials in counselling and psychiatric therapy to Master’s level.
EntryRoutes
- An honours degree, Level 8 on The National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), in counselling and psychiatric therapy or equivalent and proof of conclusion of 50 hours of individual treatment and 100 hours of monitored medical practice.
OR
- An honours degree, Level 8 on the NFQ, plus an expert diploma in counselling and psychiatric therapy that consults with IACP/ IAHIP course acknowledgment requirements. The diploma, or comparable need to have counselling and psychiatric therapy at its core and have a minimum of 450 hours in tutor/student contact over the period of the program.
Learners will be welcomed to an interview with professors as part of the application procedure.
EnglishLanguage Requirements: Applicants whose mother tongue is not English are generally needed to offer proof of efficiency in English at the greater level needed by the University.
