Psychology Scholarships for International Students at University of Kent in UK, 2017 Scholarship Positions 2017 2018

The University of Kent is offering PhD research scholarships in social psychology and politics for September 2017 ingestion. The GTA contest is open to applicants from any country.

Psychology at Kent provides a supportive, dynamic and varied surroundings for creative research and learning.

The social psychology research group at Kent is a top center for social psychological research in Europe. The group is included of globally distinguished researchers who’ve established a global reputation for their research.

Course Level: Scholarships are accessible for pursuing the research programme.

Study Subject: Scholarships are granted in the subject of social psychology and politics.

Scholarship Award: The GTA will cover tuition fees at the Home/EU rate and also a combined care grant and wages, equivalent to the total UK Research Councils rate of £14,553 (rate for 2017/18). The GTA will probably be offered for one year in the initial case, replaceable for a maximum of three years subject to satisfactory academic performance.

Eligibility: Applicants must match the next place for these scholarships:

  • To be considered for a scholarship, nominees must have at least a 1st or powerful 2:1 (or international equivalent) in an undergraduate or Master’s level Psychology (or closely allied subject) degree from recognised establishments (with evidence of significant distinction amount operation, for example in the dissertation, research procedures). All candidates must have at least two encouraging academic references, plus a history in psychology or a methodologically related area.
  • The GTA contest is open to applicants from any state. Please note that international students should possess the right documentation to evidence qualification to work in the UK. Further advice are available here. Since the award covers tuition fees at the Home/EU rate, Overseas fee paying pupils would need to constitute the difference in tuition fees themselves; the care grant should never be used for this function. The method of discovering tuition fee status is complicated and follows guidelines issued by the UK Council for International Student Affairs.

Research Scholarships

How to Apply: All finished programs must consist of all of the subsequent:

  • Submission of a KentVision application for a Social Psychology PhD place in the School of Psychology at the University of Kent including:
    A transcript of degree undergraduate and postgraduate symbols to date and certification, if finished
    The names and email addresses of two academic referees. References must likewise be received on 28th April 2017. Please leave an appropriate sum of time for your referees to react to the reference request which can be sent automatically upon entry of the PhD application in KentVision. If an alternate entry approach becomes necessary, referees can send their letter of recommendation right to psypgadmissions-at-kent.ac.uk via their professional e-mail account.

  • Submission of a covering letter (one or two pages) detailing why you’re interested in the job as well as your exceptional contribution to the research. The letter should offer details about your skill and motivation to educate. The covering letter can be uploaded to the KentVision PhD program or sent straight to psypgadmissions-at-kent.ac.uk.
